Cannibal Corpse - Kill

Once again it is time for me to share my opinion of another CD with the loyal readers of this site. If there are any?

As usual we will start with something completely unrelated to the topic at hand…

Me! :) Hey, it is my site afterall. :)

It’s funny, everytime I start to write a CD review, I have no idea what I am going to say, so I just start typing until I re-read it a few times, fine tune a few words here and there and when it finally makes sense. I click the publish button. :P

Anyway this is a review of the new Cannibal Corpse release simply entitled, Kill. It was released by Metal Blade Records a few weeks ago.

The gore metal masters are back again with another aptly titled collection of songs not intended for families, nor the faint of heart.

13 furious tracks of hate filled violent lyrics, awesome guitar riffs (at times very intricate) and the pounding blast beats to match. Combined with the growls of vocalist George Fisher this is a great CD! I mean this is nothing groundbreaking. It is just good old Cannibal, the way they have been doing it for 15 years.

So what else can be said about a new release from such a popular band?

There is not much else I can really think of to say about this CD. Other than if you are a fan of this band and have enjoyed their previous releases, than this is a CD you will want to add to your collection. :)

I could ramble on for a few more paragraphs, trying to explain what this CD sounds like, what my likes and dis-likes are and all that good stuff, but in the end everyone who has heard of this band and has purchased one of their previous releases will pick up a copy, regardless of what a few online or print reviews may have to say about it. Including this one. ;)

Though, for those of you who have never heard of this band or maybe have not been a huge fan over the years. I recommend this CD to you. Buy a copy, give it a spin and decide for yourself if it was worth $13.00 :)
