The Site
Metalpedia.com is a heavy metal encyclopedia and e-zine featuring articles, CD reviews, band interviews, band discographies, tracklists and more.
Metalpedia was officially launched on December 17th, 2005. Metalpedia is powered by the WordPress publishing software.
The Staff (of one)
My name is Ben. I live in Texas, listen to alot of music (mainly metal) and develop websites for a living. So, I figured I might as well start a site of my own and heavy metal seemed like a good topic.
My original plan was to provide information on anything and everything going on in the Heavy Metal music scene today. Though that proved to be a lofty goal (to say the least). So, I will just stick with reviews, interviews and adding encyclopedia pages as the mood strikes me.
If you are a fan of metal music (any variety), feel free to hang around, you might find something of interest.
Write for Metalpedia
I am currently seeking contributions from anyone interested in writing articles for this site. Especially if you are into another style of metal than I am. I like all metal (well, most metal) but plan to focus my attention to death, black, stoner, doom and grind. If you like other varieties, please let me know.

The Schedule
New articles, reviews, interviews and anything other than rambling posts about the site, will be posted as the mood strikes me. Or as I can afford to buy new CDs. These things are not cheap. 
You can keep track of when new content is published by visiting everyday or via the RSS feeds. Links to these feeds can be found below, you can use your RSS reader of choice or subscribe by email and receive updates right in your inbox.

Getting your band included
I plan to review/interview and add as many bands to the encyclopedia that I can come up with. If I have not heard of your band, you can bet you will not be included. I’m not psychic. 
So, if you have (or know of) a band that is not listed in the encyclopedia, contact me and let me know of it’s existence. If applicable, please provide a link to the website so I can gather as much info as possible.
If you want to get your CD reviewed, please provide me with a copy of some songs. it does not have to be the actual CD you are trying to sell, a copy of it would be satisfactory. Or even better, links to .mp3 versions. I am not looking for free stuff, but if I have not heard it reviewing it would be hard 
As far as interviews, please contact me, I will get back to you ASAP!
