» 5 out of 5 Evil Faces

Okay so we all know that Witchery kicks ass, or at least I do. Though maybe you disagree with that and think they are typical? I have read alot of people do. I on the other hand disagree with the typical opinion. I personally think of Witchery as a very non-typical band.
Firstly they actually know how to play their instruments (sure, there are alot of other metal bands that also know how to play) but there are also a fair share of those who could use another lesson or two.
Plus the sense of humor expressed within their lyrics, artwork and such. Like an old classic horror movie would make you laugh. I get the same vibe from Witchery. Maybe they did not intend for it to be this way, and my twisted sense of humor just leads me to believe that titles such as “Dead, Hot and Ready” are meant to have a semi comical theme.

Biography
Imprecation was a Texas based Death/Black metal band from the early 90′s.
They have since broken up and as far as I know only released one CD. Which is a conglomeration of their various demos.
Rough raw metal done the way it was meant to be done. Highly satanic lyrics, not for the faint of heart. (to say the least) If you are a fan of slow doomy, sludgy old school death metal with some keyboards thrown in for the fun of it, than be sure to check this band out.
Guitarist Wes Weaver alo went on to play with the band Infernal Dominion, though they also have since broken up!
Wes has started a new band entitled Blaspherian. Be sure to check them out!!!

As far as I know Infernal Dominion only released one CD. Very Brutal Death Metal.

Biography
Bongzilla might be the most obvious of stoner rock/metal bands. I think the band name says it all.
They have a definite Sabbath sound, though as with all bands, they incorporate their own style into the mix as well. Very sludgy, almost doomy at times, some cool samples mixed in here and there to make it one of my favorite stoner rock bands!
Plus it can’t be beat when you want to kick your feet up and relax.

Biography
Alas is a side project of guitarist Erik Rutan. Best known for his work with Morbid Angel and his solo band Hate Eternal. Alas is not anywhere near the same style as Erik’s aforementioned gigs. This is more on the progressive side of metal with female vocals and more melody. Not a bad album, but if you are a fan of heavier metal, this may not be for you.
