Fu Manchu

Q: Where is Fu Manchu from?
A: We are from Orange county California. Everyone is living on the coast.

Q: How long has Fu Manchu been together?
A: I started the band in 1990. we started getting serious around 1993.

Q: How did Fu Manchu get started?
A: All 4 of us wanted to play loud music and hopefully put out a few records tour the states.

Wintersun

Biography

Wintersun is a melodic black, death, viking metal band from Finland. Featuring Jari Mäenpää (Ensiferum) on Guitar and Vocals and Kai Hahto (Rotten Sound) on Drums. This is one great band! If you have heard the aforementioned Ensiferum, you have had a taste of Wintersun, but there are definitely differences.

Fuelblooded

Q: Where is FuelBlooded from?
A: Fuelblooded is from Den Bosch – The Netherlands. This is where we rehearse and where most of our members live and have their roots.

Q: How long has FuelBlooded been together?
A: As Fuelblooded we are together for about 4,5 years now, but we were known as Sacramental Sachem for 13 years before we changed our name into Fuelblooded.

Q: How many members are in FuelBlooded? Names? Instruments?
A: Five members:

  • Michiel Rutten (guitars and backing vocals)
  • Norbert Moen (drums), Vital Welten (vocals)
  • Michel Steenbekkers (bass)

A: Some of us are in their mid-twenties; the others prefer to be known as the youthful middle-aged ;-)

Nebula - Apollo

So far the bands reviewed and interviewed here at Metalpedia have been of the Death, Black and Grind metal nature.

We are proud to announce the first article not in one of the aforementioned genres. It’s quite a leap too. ;) This time we are going to review the new release from Stoner Metal band Nebula, released by Liquor And Poker Music entitled Apollo.

Okay, so I will admit I have not been a fan of this band for very long. Though over the last year or so I have had the opportunity to listen to a few of their releases. I dug it. It was hip and melodic and has a certain feel to it that hits just the right spot when the listener is in the right frame of mind. It reminds me a bit of classic rock with a touch of metal as well as a really spacy ambiance.
